YORGOOpress Newspaper Project
The newspaper project is something that has developed as an extension to the work on publications that we have been focusing on these past few months. Our focus has been on building authority and high visibility with our blogs.
Blogging is all the rage online at the moment, it seems everyone wants to be a journalist and have their say. Depending on the author of the blog a blog may or may not be factual, may tell a story or be a recommendation for a product and is of course thus opinionated, presenting the authors ’side of the story’. Set up correctly blogs are good at compelling readers to be interactive - requesting comments and feedback.
Taking this a step further this month we are developing the Newspaper project, an example of which you can see here at YORGOOpress.com. The layout of the newspaper theme is very different from the ‘normal’ blog, yet encompasses all the features as in a blog. The YORGOOpress example of course looks more like a normal daily offline publication which everyone is used to. The newspaper can be used as a marketing or advertising tool but it very much depends on the focus of the publication.
The March Ycademy Seminar focused entirely on the development of such a publication online, the framework, design and content. Once set up this newspaper project will provide its owner a high end website for any publishing purpose.
