Semiomantics and the art of communication

Semiomantics

Just observing whats going on with the brand new Semiomantics.com over these past few days it is so apparent that Semiomantics has mastered the the art of communication, and  so elegantly.

The art of communication is mastering the balance betwen the creative and the logical and yet remaining appealing in both printed matter, style, colour and design.

Semiomantics has captured the moment so beautifully: topical, appealing, fun and even educational.

I will certainly be participating in all your trainings and seminars,

Well  done,

Zo

P.S. Congratulations to alejandraneri.com for creating such a stir, Google no1 on so many keywords with the Semiomantics OX script.  I hope Barack Obama enjoys his new found energy with Herbalife :)

Social bookmarking - what’s all the fuss about?

BookmarkingLet’s first explain what social bookmarking is:

Social bookmarking is a method for Internet users to store, organize, search, and manage bookmarks of web pages on the Internet with the help metadata.

In a social bookmarking system, users save links to web pages that they want to remember and/or share. These bookmarks are usually public, and can be saved privately, shared only with specified people or groups, shared only inside certain networks, or another combination of public and private domains. The allowed people can usually view these bookmarks chronologically, by category or tags, or via a search engine.

Most social bookmark services encourage users to organize their bookmarks with informal tags instead of the traditional browser-based system of folders, although some services feature categories/folders or a combination of folders and tags. They also enable viewing bookmarks associated with a chosen tag, and include information about the number of users who have bookmarked them. Some social bookmarking services also draw inferences from the relationship of tags to create clusters of tags or bookmarks.

Many social bookmarking services provide web feeds for their lists of bookmarks, including lists organized by tags. This allows subscribers to become aware of new bookmarks as they are saved, shared, and tagged by other users.

As these services have matured and grown more popular, they have added extra features such as ratings and comments on bookmarks, the ability to import and export bookmarks from browsers, emailing of bookmarks, web annotation, and groups or other social network features. “Source: Wikipedia.

The advantage of this system of bookmarking as opposed to classification done by the usual software such as searh engines is that its done with human intervention. It is therefore more content related. Unforunately this also opens the door to abuse by spammers.

Social bookmarking is a big part of Web2.0. community. There is always more than one way of looking at information. Bookmarking allows for a different approach to organising information and resources on the net, making it more ‘consumer’ and ‘community’ friendly.

Also, check out here  our real example of applying bookmarking,  and how using certain techniques you can really benefit from better ranking on search engines like Google, in a specific niche. Days are getting longer and warmer, summer is on its way in the Northern hemisphere.

Have you ever planted a seed, watch it germinate, and slowly but surely watched it grow, steadily upwards towards the light, towards the sun?

With a little help from you, watering when it was dry, protecting it from the winds it grows stronger every day, the leaves get firmer, the stem harder and then one day…..little flower buds appear, tiny at first and daily they get plumper and bigger till eventually the day comes when the bud BURSTS and a beautiful flower blooms, displaying all its glory in colour and scent….ahhhh, the perfume! just makes your head spin.

Had you been at the daily call yesterday, you would have heard all about the little seeds that have today bloomed into beautiful flowers.  One little seed called Edi Carlisle, with a notion  to work online, having never done anything on a pc 9 months ago, yesterday won a prize in a ’splash’ page competion. Another seed, Renate Schedl - a german lady who does not even know english that well, split the prize with our latest her. 3rd place came Gene Line, a runner up and still quite a newbie. With just a little effort you can make money online and put it in your pocket. Well done, Edi, Renate and Gene.  ENJOY YOUR REWARDS! you deserve them.
